Andy appeared on the beach again. Liam was already waiting. Liam looked Andy up and down then burst out laughing. His high pitched voice, full of glee, exclaimed, "Holy shit what happened to you?" Liam stroked his beard as he chuckled. The beard had been cut and styled.
"You cut my beard? Screw you, dude! When I get it back at the end of this you'll pay!"
"As if, loser. I cut MY beard and we're just getting started here."
"Why don't I get started throttling your prissy little neck?" Andy was pissed.
"With those lips maybe you'd rather throttle my dick!?" Liam burst burst out laughing again.
"I bet you don't even have a dick, girlie!" Andy folded his arms and gave a smug smile.
Liam's laughter stopped. His face darkened and he shot an angry glare at Andy.
S.A.M. called out, "Whoever can skip a stone the most times wins. You have one minute to find a stone. You will each be allowed one throw."
Rocks and pebbles of all sizes appeared all around the beach, thousands of little gray, white and black stones.
"Begin."
Andy dropped to his knees and began frantically sifting through rocks. He was looking for one that was smooth and flat. He quickly found a few promising candidates and compared them to one another. He looked over at Liam who appeared to be doing the same. He chose a smooth white rock that was mostly flat. The buzzer sounded a second after. Liam was holding a gray rock that was shaped similarly to Andy's.
Andy stepped up to the water and took a few practice flicks with his arm. It had been a lot of years since he had skipped a stone. He wound up and launched the rock with a flick of his wrist. The rock hit the water and bounced. 1...2...3...4 times! It created ripples in the water that slowly crawled across the glass-like surface.
Laim approached the water and practiced a few times. He released his stone and watched as it bounced. 1...2...3...4 times.
It was a tie.
Liam looked excited as he turned to look at Andy.
Doctor Grungot sounded, "Good job Liam! As our audience may or may not know, a tie always goes to the challenger. Sorry, Andy, looks like Liam gets another piece!"
"That's bullshit! If anything a tie should go to me because i'm the one that has their life on the line here!"
"I don't make the rules, Andy. Oh wait, I do! Tough luck."
"I want his height," Liam blurted out, "We'll see how tough he is once I tower over him."
Andy's whole body tingled as his perspective slowly shifted. He watched as Liam began to increase in size. Andy could feel his limbs and torso shrink as they met the middle. For a split second their eyes met at the same level before Andy had to start looking up to meet Liam's gaze. When the tingling finally stopped Liam absolutely towered over Andy. Andy wasn't short, but he was not nearly as intimidating as before. Liam looked like a flagpole, skinny and tall. Andy's outfit had reformed itself to fit. Liam's jeans looked more like capris as they no longer fit.
Liam stared down at Andy with a triumphant expression. His high pitched voice rang out, "Won't be long now til i'm calling you girlie. But why rush it? Let's have some fun first!"
Andy did not have a response as the beach faded out.
